CASI GILLIAM
Casi Gilliam owns and operates Gilliam Quarter Horses in Roaming Shores, Ohio.
Background: Casi grew up showing young Quarter Horses as a youth and breaking Thoroughbreds for the race track. She earned degrees in Clinical Psychology and Computer Science from Ursuline College and John Carroll University.
Family: Casi is married to Russell Gilliam and they have an 11 year-old son, Lucas Lang and twins Marlaina and RJ. Lucas had a successful 2008 show season with his 2005 gelding, Coolest Mr. The pair earned the national titles of Reserve Youth Rookie of the Year and #2 Youth Gelding in the nation, among dozens of other prestigious awards. Russell also finished on top of the world earning an Amateur Rookie of the Year award and #2 Limited Amateur Gelding in the nation. Coolest Mr was also the #3 Amateur Gelding in the World in November.
Accomplishments: Casi Gilliam has trained numerous horses and riders to state and national year-end and high-point awards, futurity championships and titles in a variety of events. Casi is also the former owner of Becoming Art, the 2004 NSBA Open English Horse of the Year. Becoming Art is now being offered for sale. Affiliations: The Gilliam's are active members of AQHA, NSBA, Western Pennsylvania, Northern Ohio and Ohio Quarter Horse Associations. Casi is an AQHA Professional Horseman and has served on the AQHA Professional Horsemen's Association Committee.
